This 9-inch statue of Manjushri is skillfully crafted from copper, fully gilded in 24k gold, with select areas delicately plated in silver to enhance its refined presence.

Manjushri, the embodiment of transcendent wisdom, is depicted seated in vajra posture. In his right hand, he wields the flaming sword of wisdom that cuts through the darkness of ignorance; in his left, he holds the stem of a lotus upon which rests the Prajnaparamita Sutra — the scripture of perfect wisdom. Together, these symbolize the union of insight and method that leads to awakening.

The antique finish softens the gold into a calm, matte glow, making each engraved detail easily visible and harmonious to the eye. The engravings are clear and precise — the flowing robe, ornate jewelry, and subtle contours of the body all rendered with refined craftsmanship. The face, painted with pure 24k gold, bears eyes and lips delicately detailed with flawless precision, giving Manjushri a gaze both compassionate and piercing in clarity.

For Dharma practitioners, this statue serves as an inspiration for cultivating insight, mindfulness, and the wisdom that discerns the true nature of all phenomena. Whether placed on an altar, used in formal sadhana practice, or kept as a meditative focus, this piece embodies the authentic Newa Buddhist artistry of Patan, Nepal — a living tradition that unites devotion, discipline, and timeless beauty.
