His left hand cradles the Prajñāpāramitā scripture, a reminder of the profound insight that leads to awakening.
The entire figure is lavishly gilded in 24k gold, which both protects the metal and brings the intricate engravings into brilliant relief. Every leaf on his crown and every fold of his robe has been carved with meticulous care, revealing delicate patterns that dance across the surface.
