Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of transcendent wisdom, is revered as the embodiment of enlightened insight that cuts through ignorance and reveals the true nature of reality. Seated in meditative posture, he raises the flaming sword of wisdom in his right hand, while the lotus beside him supports the Prajnaparamita scripture — symbolizing the perfection of wisdom teachings.
This statue has been crafted with a refined sense of simplicity and balance. The engravings along the robe borders are kept light and minimal, allowing the graceful form and expression of Manjushri to remain the central focus. Partly gilded in 24k gold, the statue is complemented by a warm brownish finish across the robes, creating a harmonious contrast that enhances its calm and contemplative presence.
The face has been carefully hand-painted with gold, with delicate detailing applied to the eyes and lips to bring warmth and life to the expression. Radiating serenity and clarity, this piece is both a support for Dharma practice and a beautiful example of traditional craftsmanship handcrafted in Patan, Nepal.
