This 9-inch Manjushri statue is crafted in copper, partly gilded with 24k gold and finished in a refined two-toned antique style, combining deep black with warm brownish hues. The balanced contrast between the gold and darker tones gives the statue a grounded presence while enhancing the details of the carving.

Manjushri, the embodiment of transcendent wisdom, is depicted seated in vajra posture. His right hand wields the flaming sword of wisdom, cutting through ignorance, while his left hand holds the stem of a lotus supporting the Prajnaparamita Sutra — the heart of perfect wisdom teachings.

The antique finish softens the gold into a gentle radiance, avoiding glare while allowing practitioners to clearly see each line of the carving. The details are precise and expressive, with careful attention to the flowing robe, ornaments, and facial features. The face is painted in 24k gold, with the eyes and lips rendered in flawless, steady strokes, giving Manjushri a compassionate yet penetrating gaze.

For Dharma practitioners, this statue serves as an aid to cultivating insight and clarity of mind. Whether used for formal sadhana practice, placed as a focus for meditation, or kept as an ever-present reminder of the wisdom aspect of awakening, its proportions and iconography align with traditional forms held in the Newar Buddhist art lineage of Patan, Nepal.
