This 9-inch statue of Sadhakshari Lokeshvara — the four-armed form of Avalokiteshvara, embodiment of the compassion of all Buddhas — is meticulously crafted from copper, partly gilded in 24k gold, and completed in a two-toned antique finish blending rich black and warm brownish hues. The refined combination of tones highlights the serene presence of the Bodhisattva while bringing forward the depth of every engraving.

Seated in the vajra posture upon a double lotus base, Sadhakshari Lokeshvara’s principal hands are joined in anjali mudra at the heart, symbolizing boundless compassion and reverence for all beings. The upper right hand holds a crystal rosary, signifying continuous activity in guiding sentient beings, while the upper left hand holds a lotus flower, the emblem of pure wisdom arising unstained from the world.

The antique gold gilding softens the shine into a meditative matte glow, making it comfortable to gaze upon during extended practice sessions. The robe is adorned with delicate leaf motifs, with deep, precise borders framing the garment and lighter engravings adding subtle texture throughout. The face, gilded in 24k gold, has been painted with flawless precision — the gentle eyes and lips conveying a compassionate calm that inspires devotion.

For Dharma practitioners, this statue serves as an ideal support for the recitation of the six-syllable mantra Om Mani Padme Hum and the cultivation of the mind of bodhicitta. Crafted in Patan, Nepal, it embodies the profound skill of Newar artisans, honed over generations.
