This 28-inch Shakyamuni Buddha statue is crafted in copper and gilded with 24k gold, its antique finish softening the shine into a warm, approachable presence. The figure sits in the Bhumisparsha mudra, right hand touching the earth, recalling the moment the Buddha overcame Mara and awakened beneath the Bodhi tree.

Made in Patan, Nepal, by artisans trained in the centuries-old tradition, every engraving carries a sense of care and discipline — from the flowing leaf motifs on the robe to the defined borders that frame his form. The antique gold finish ensures that the features remain clear under varying light, allowing for extended periods of viewing without distraction.

The face has been finely shaped and painted with 24k gold, with the eyes and lips rendered in flawless, precise brushwork. The serene gaze and gentle expression are intended to guide the mind toward stability and openness, supporting visualization and devotional practice.

For practitioners, this statue is more than an ornament — it is a support for daily practice. Placed on an altar, it becomes a focal point for taking refuge, making offerings, and engaging in Buddha-visualization meditations. Its proportions and detailing follow established iconographic guidelines, making it suitable for both home altars and dedicated practice spaces.

Whether used in formal sadhana or as a quiet reminder of the path, the image of Shakyamuni Buddha invites the mind toward stillness, clarity, and the boundless compassion he embodied.
