Riding a pregnant tigress, Dorje Drolo is one of the eight manifestations of Guru Rinpoche. He is the wrathful form of Guru Rinpoche known for subduing evil forces and concealing termas for future generations. This statue of him has been crafted with fine finishing. The simplicity of the engraving details along with part-gold two-toned antique finishing forms the elegance of this statue. 24k gold has been mercury gilded along the borders of the robes and on other areas giving perfect highlight to the simple engravings. The outer robe has been finished with dark color. The inner robe and the skin areas are finished with light brown color. The face has been painted to perfection with the use of Gold and poster colors for eyes and lips. This combination gives a wonderful aesthetic to the statue and radiates an energy that can certainly create an experience while practicing and viewing this piece.
