This 9-inch Vajrasattva statue is crafted from copper and gilded entirely with 24k gold. Parts of the statue such as the Crown, Vajra and Bell, has been plated with Silver.
Vajrasattva, the embodiment of the purity of all Buddhas, is depicted seated in full lotus posture. In his right hand, he holds the vajra close to his heart — the symbol of indestructible reality. In his left hand, resting in his lap, he holds the bell, representing the union of wisdom and method. Together, they signify the complete purification of body, speech, and mind.
The engravings are precise and balanced — deep and defined along the borders of his robe, and light yet clear across the main fabric. The face has been masterfully painted with 24k gold, while the eyes and lips are rendered with flawless smoothness, giving Vajrasattva a serene yet potent expression.
For Dharma practitioners, this statue serves as a powerful support for purification practice, embodying the blessings of the hundred-syllable mantra and the resolve to free all beings from obscurations. Made in Patan, Nepal, it reflects the refined artistry of the Newa Buddhist tradition.
