In the Vajrayana tradition, Samantabhadra (Kuntuzangpo) is the primordial Buddha, representing the Dharmakāya — the vast, unchanging expanse of awareness that is the ground of all experience. United with Samantabhadri, he embodies the inseparability of emptiness and clarity, wisdom and compassion, which together reveal the natural state of the mind as it is.

This statue follows the authentic iconography of Samantabhadra in union (yab-yum) with Samantabhadri. Samantabhadra is seated in meditation posture, hands resting in the dhyānamudrā, his body finished in a deep blackish tone to reflect his luminous blue form — the infinite space of awareness. Samantabhadri, seated in union, is rendered entirely in silver, representing her radiant white body — the clarity and openness of pristine awareness. Her embrace symbolizes the inseparability of emptiness and appearance, wisdom and method.

The minimal yet powerful design is accentuated with silver details and an antique finish, emphasizing the timeless presence of these deities. Their union is not to be understood in ordinary terms, but as a sacred symbol of the non-dual nature of reality — the indivisibility of wisdom and compassion that resides inherently within every practitioner.

For practitioners of Vajrayana and Dzogchen, gazing upon this form is a direct reminder of the ultimate view: that enlightenment is not something to be attained elsewhere, but the recognition of one’s own primordial nature, already perfect and complete.
