The two-armed Mahakala, also referred to as Dorje Bernagchen in Tibetan, is the primary protector of the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. This beautifully crafted statue of Mahakala captures his essence with intricate engravings on the borders of his robe, reflecting the attention to detail and expertise of the craftsman. The statue is finished in a striking two-toned oxidized style, with the outer robe dark in color and the inner robe in a rich brown hue. The artist has skillfully painted Mahakala's face with gold, adding lifelike detail to the statue's already impressive craftsmanship.
This impressive statue, which we crafted in 2022, exudes an aura of fierce protection and embodies the powerful energy of Mahakala, capable of invoking a meaningful experience for both practitioners and viewers. Its vibrant and life-like appearance makes it an exceptional addition to any collection and a valuable tool for deepening one's spiritual practice in the Karma Kagyu tradition.
