Green Tara, revered as a swift and compassionate figure, is practiced upon for protection, guidance, and the removal of obstacles. This statue has been crafted specifically as a support for Green Tara practice, with careful attention given to her traditional form and the finer aspects of the craftsmanship.
The statue features high-depth carving throughout, with the motifs on her robes and ornaments worked with clean, precise details. The flowing patterns across the robe have been deeply and carefully chiseled, giving the surface a sense of depth while retaining the graceful quality of Tara’s form. Turquoise and coral stone inlays are placed throughout the crown, ornaments, and robe, adding vivid touches of colour to the rich gold surface.
The entire statue is gilded with 24k gold and given an antique finish, allowing the deeper areas of the carving to settle naturally and bringing out the intricacy of the motifs. Her face is painted with 24k gold, with exceptionally clean lines and delicate detailing that bring a serene and gentle expression to Green Tara.
With its deep carving, carefully placed turquoise and coral inlays, luminous gold face, and rich antique finish, this Green Tara reflects a high level of traditional craftsmanship.
