Yuthok Yönten Gönpo is one of the most revered figures in the tradition of Tibetan medicine, remembered as a great physician and teacher who helped establish and preserve the knowledge of healing within the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
This statue has been crafted as a representation for practitioners who hold his lineage and teachings in their practice. The statue is finely worked throughout, with precision carving visible across the robes, ornaments, and lotus base. The engraved motifs are clean and well defined, giving the surface a sense of depth while maintaining the calm and dignified presence of Yuthok Yönten Gönpo. Particular care has been given to the details of his robes and the ornamental elements surrounding his form.
Thickly gilded in 24k gold and finished with an antique treatment, the statue carries a warm, subdued radiance that allows the carved details to remain clearly visible. The face has been painted with 24k gold, with exceptionally clean lines defining the eyes, lips, and other fine features.
