Black Manjushri, known as Jampel Nagpo in Tibetan, is the wrathful manifestation of Manjushri associated particularly with healing and the removal of obstacles. His fierce expression and raised sword represent the powerful activity of wisdom, cutting through ignorance, illness, and harmful influences.

This finely crafted statue portrays Black Manjushri in a dynamic standing posture, with his sword raised high and his body surrounded by a dramatic flaming aureole. The elaborate crown, jewellery, flowing scarves, and other traditional elements have been finely carved, giving the statue a strong sense of movement and presence.

The statue is fully gilded with 24k gold and finished with an antique treatment, bringing depth to the intricate carvings while giving the surface a rich, aged appearance. The face is painted with 24k gold, with carefully defined eyes, brows, and mouth bringing out the fierce expression characteristic of Black Manjushri.

The combination of his powerful form, detailed craftsmanship, rich gold surface, and expressive face gives this statue a distinctive presence, reflecting the traditional representation of Black Manjushri as a powerful figure associated with healing and protection.
