Padmasambhava or Guru Rinpoche, a beloved figure, was a Vajrayana master known for introducing tantric Buddhism in Tibet in the 8th CE. This beautiful statue of him has been crafted with fine craftsmanship. Seated on a double lotus throne, the carvings on the statue are clean and well-detailed. 24k gold has been mercury gilded partly on the statue, especially on the borders of his robes giving perfect highlight to the beautiful engravings. The outer robes have been oxidized with a Dark chocolate color, whereas the inner robe and the skin are finished in brownish color, providing us with an aesthetically pleasing look. The face has been painted finely with gold and it certainly radiates the aura of Guru Padmasambhava which is essential in creating a special experience.
